Dashboard

Have been messing about with some dashboard ideas and still pondering. The original dash was a fibreglass mould and not really good enough in terms of appearance so have made a 9mm ply base to play with and have seen a couple of Marcos where all the instruments have been moved to the middle. There are pros and cons for this and still need to give it some thought along with do I go for a solid wood dashboard, wood veneer covering, or carbon or whatever.

Main reason for possibly moving the instruments are with the steering wheel being quite small and the speedo and rev counter directly behind the wheel I am not sure how well they can be seen so moving them to the middle would give me a clear view of all the dials but then they would be out of direct line of sight when driving looking forward, ah decisions decisions ?
